I am a very proud American who stands behind my country, my military and my government. I am a Army wife, mother to 4 children (3 of which who are planning to
serve their country), a grandmother to one gorgeous grandson, and mother-in-law to 2 soldiers!
My husband received the Combat Action Badge for his actions in Iraq. The CAB is "awarded to any soldier after the date of September 18, 2001
performing duties in an area where hostile fire pay or imminent danger pay is authorized, who is personally present and actively engaging or being engaged by
the enemy, and performing satisfactorily in accordance with the prescribed rules of engagement."
My interests vary greatly. I love hiking and exploring new places. I love to sit under a tree with the wind blowing the leaves causing them to rustle and sway.
I love to listen to music, write and read. I have even decided to take the leap and try my hand at photography for profit. Anything that is interesting and
challenging is perfect to hold my attention. I love to read true crime, horror and mysteries. Occasionally I also enjoy a great romance novel. My favorite
authors are Ann Rule, Catherine Coulter and Jude Deveraux.
How does one define a hero? If it means putting others before you, selflessness, honor, and patriotism, then my list of heros is as follows...
1. My husband Tom
2. My son-in-law Jonathan
3. The United States Military
4. The families left behind who support what their Soldier; Marine; Sailor; or their Pilot does without question or complaint.
You will NEVER be forgotten!
